Colour affects the price less than people assume: the parents, their titles and the litter matter more.
What the price includes
Registration papers or a pedigree, a vet passport with age-appropriate vaccinations, a contract, and a kitten already litter- and scratcher-trained. Catteries run HCM, SMA and PKDef tests on the parents and show the results on request. What documents a kitten must have.
Why cheap offers are dangerous
A kitten priced well below the bottom of the market usually means one of three things: it is not a Maine Coon, it has no papers, or it does not exist at all. Signs of a dishonest sale.
What upkeep costs
Beyond the kitten itself, count food, litter, the vet and one-off purchases: an oversized litter tray, a full-height scratching post and a carrier for a big cat. Delivery across Russia starts at 5,000 ₽.
